PIPE FITTINGS FASTENERS MANUFACTURER- PIPING MATERIAL MANUFACTURER

Additional Information

What are fasteners?

Fasteners are tools that are usually used to hold two or more materials or objects together. They are very well known as screws, nuts, and bolts, or a similar object. Fasteners are managed to create non-permanent joints, which can be removed or dismantled without damaging the joining components. Welding is an example of creating lasting joints. Steel fasteners are normally made of Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel, and Carbon Steel.

A.M Engineering Works is one of the well-known manufacturers supplier & exporters of Fasteners worldwide. We always maintain our high-quality standards and try our best to give our valued customers the best products and services.

We make almost all types of fasteners and customized sizes and specifications as per the customer’s requirements. Do contact us or email us to get your customized products.

Different types of Fasteners used in Piping and Manufacture by A.M. Engineering Works

Stud bolt, machine bolts, nuts, and washers are known as fasteners or bolting material. Bolting is the word that used to tighten/create the flange joints connection. The tightening of the flange ensures the leak-proof connection between gasket & flanges.

Stud Bolt
Stud Bolt has a thread on full-lengths or at both ends. It has three components without washers being used. If you use a washer, it will become five. Although, Sometimes additional nuts are used for hydraulic tensioning with larger size stud.

Machine Bolt
Machine Bolts have a thread at one end and hexagonal head on another. Piping bolts are used with more moderate strength flange types such as GRE/GRP, bronze. Usually, washers are used with the bolt to prevent unnecessary load to the flange.

Hex Nuts
Commonly Hex Heavy-series nuts worked with studs. The nonbearing face of a nut is chamfered, while the load Application face is finished with a washer face or may be chamfered.

Washers
A washer is a flat plate with a hole in the middle. Washers disseminate the load on flange face, Non-metallic flange needed washers due to this reason. Different types of washers are available to use, such as Flat, Splits, and Conical Springs.

Stud Bolts(ASME) and Fasteners Standard and Specifications

Diameter, Lengths of the stud and bolt are included in ASME B16.5 & B16.47.

ASME B1.1 Unified Inch Screw Threads (Cores and Nice thread series- usually Cores thread series is used for stud used in piping).

ASME B18.2.1 for Square, Hex Bolts and Screws.

ASME B18.2.2 Square, Hex Nuts.

ASME B18.21.1 Lock Washers.

ASME B18.22.1 Plain Washers.
