Description

EN19 steel plates (also referred to as 708M40, 709M40, and AISI 4140) are high-quality alloy steel plates known for their wear resistance, tensile strength, and good shock resistance. EN19 is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, widely used for applications requiring strength and durability, such as gears, shafts, and pinions, as well as in the oil and gas industry.

Key features:

  • High tensile strength
  • Good ductility and shock resistance
  • Excellent wear resistance
  • Can be induction hardened

Applications:

EN19 is used in various industries including automotive, oil and gas, manufacturing of machinery parts like gears, shafts, spindles, pinions, and other tooling applications.
